‘Feelings are Facts’ is the latest project from Olafur Eliasson and Ma Yansong.
Finally we can all live together in Photoshop happily ever after…
this site-specific project, located within the big hall of ullens center for contemporary art (UCCA),
beijing is based on a series of previous experiments by eliasson, which deal with atmospheric density.
here, eliasson introduces condensed banks of artificially produced fog into the gallery,
shimmering with an artificial light spectrum, created using arrays of red, green and blue fluorescent lamps.
this illusion in light is not something we find in nature, however, as one walks through the space,
the sights and sensations experience become real.

MoMA has launched this excellent service (that’s a little bit gimmick, but 90% utility) called
My Day at MoMA.
Essentially, the site asks you when you plan to visit, and then scans your Facebook profile to determine what the best day to visit would be, and creates an editable itinerary.
Having worked on , this addresses a very real and major aspect of what a Museum’s site should do – prepare the person for their visit, and get them excited about it. That might seem obvious, but you would be amazed at just how many Museum sites fail at this.
It’s a nice execution using existing social networks to provide a jumping off point, if not a solution.

So the green monster is down. It has been replaced with a very flashy, very impressive-looking 3-story
apple store, complete with lots of glass and glowing apple logos… and its just around the corner from the Boston office. Today is “opening day”, and even though the doors won’t open until 6:00pm tonight, managed to get a glimpse at some crazy folks waiting in line outside the doors this morning on his way to work. Good times.
